Montgomery & Andrews, P.A. is a full-service law firm of 28 lawyers and approximately 25 support personnel with offices in Santa Fe and Albuquerque, New Mexico.  We are known for the breadth and depth of our legal and regulatory experience and our familiarity with the personnel and processes of New Mexico executive and legislative branches of government.

Our attorneys practice in virtually all areas of civil and commercial law, including natural resources, environmental, legislative, regulatory, business, real estate, state taxation, banking, and employment relations.  Our litigation and commercial departments represent clients statewide and regionally in a broad range of civil matters, including antitrust, complex commercial, natural resource and environmental matters, business disputes, architect and engineer malpractice defense, eminent domain, employment claims, personal injury litigation, products liability, and insurance law matters.

Our governmental relations lawyers have extensive experience representing clients on matters involving the executive and legislative branches of New Mexico state government, as well as in regulatory matters before such state agencies as the Public Regulation Commission, the State Land Office, the Oil Conservation Division, and the New Mexico Environment Department.  The lawyers in our government relations group have over forty years of combined experience representing clients before the New Mexico legislature.

Since our formation in the 1930’s, the firm has been politically active in the state of New Mexico.  We have had members who have served in the state legislature at various times throughout our history.  In addition, William R. Federici was a former chief justice of the New Mexico Supreme Court and was a managing partner of the firm before his court service.  Our senior litigator, Victor R. Ortega, was United States Attorney for the District of New Mexico from 1969 to 1978.
