Overview

Scott Hall joined Montgomery and Andrews in 2008. His practice focuses on numerous aspects of the oil and gas and energy industry, including transactions, litigation, regulatory and government relations.

He has significant practice experience representing oil and gas producers before the New Mexico Oil Conservation Division and Oil Conservation Commission. He also has substantial background in gas contract litigation, title examination, leasing, mineral development, pipeline eminent domain and right-of-way issues and other energy regulatory matters on Federal, State and Tribal lands as well as privately-owned lands.

He has served as a registered lobbyist representing energy industry interests before the New Mexico Legislature. While attending law school, he was employed by an independent oil and gas producer in Oklahoma. After graduating in 1979, he served as Assistant Attorney General for the New Mexico Commissioner of Public Lands and has been in private practice in Santa Fe since 1982.
